Galloway Township police arrested Rasson McGriff, 27, of Bridgeton on weapons charges early Saturday morning after a motor vehicle stop.

According to police, the vehicle in which McGriff was a passenger was stopped on the White Horse Pike at Pomona Road at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

McGriff was found to be in possession of a Colt Python .357 Magnum handgun, and was charged with possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, police said.

McGriff was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $75,000 full cash bail, police said.
