A Bridgeton man has been arrested after police say he stabbed another man outside a Delaware restaurant.

Delaware state police say the stabbing happened early Sunday morning outside the Mariachi House on Lancaster Pike in Hockessin.

Authorities say a 20-year-old Vineland man who was involved in a dispute inside the restaurant was confronted by 24-year-old Giovany A. Reyes after he walked outside.

Police say Reyes took out a knife and stabbed the man multiple times in the abdomen.

Reyes, who was being held on cash bond, faces charges including assault. It wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer.

The victim underwent surgery for non-life-threatening wounds. The relationship between the two men wasn't immediately clear.
