Bridgeton police arrest two men in connection with unrealted slaying attempts

BRIDGETON – City police said they have arrested two men in connection with a pair of unrelated attempted slayings here in October and January.

Da’Shon Harris, 21, of Fairfield Township, allegedly shot two people on Giles Street during the early-morning hours of Oct. 6, police said.

One of the victims remains paralyzed, police said.

In the other incident, police charged Ahmad H. Smith, 21, of Clark Road here, with shooting a 17-year-old boy in a alley behind a local deli on Jan. 21.
