CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – The Wilmington VA Medical Center is sending its mobile health van to Wildwood this week.

The van will be at the Wildwood American Legion Post 184, at Atlantic and Roberts Avenue,  from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Cape May County Freeholder Gerry Thornton said the staff on the van will be providing open enrollment for VA medical services through the Wilmington VA Hospital, which includes the Cape May VA Clinic.

To enroll, veterans should bring their service papers/DD Form 214 and medical insurance cards, such as Medicare or supplemental medical insurance.

Cape May County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti will also be taking applications and issuing Cape May County Veteran’s Identification Cards, which provide discounts at participating businesses throughout the county.

Ginny Tomlin, Director of Cape May County Veteran’s Bureau will also be on hand to answer questions regarding VA benefits and Jackie Blaydes, Veteran’s Representative from the Department of Labor's One Stop Career Center will offer employment services for veterans.

“The county is pleased to participate in this event that provides information and assistance to our veterans in Cape May County. I hope veterans take this opportunity to find out more about the services that are available to help them improve their quality of life," Thornton said.
