Cape May woman faces gun charge in Galloway

Galloway Township police arrested a woman who had a loaded handgun.

Police said Bonnie S. Oliver-Allamong, 50, of Cape May, went to her sister’s house on the 500 block of Duerer Street in Galloway at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday. Oliver-Allamong said she wanted to help her sister, who had a dispute earlier in the day.

Police were called to the house stating there was a dispute and a woman was loading a handgun.

Police arrived and Oliver-Allamong had a loaded .22 caliber handgun. She was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and transported to Atlantic County jail on $20,000 cash bail.
