The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement is scheduled to release Atlantic City casino revenue figures for December and all of 2012 at 2 p.m. today.

Through the first 11 months of the year, combined revenue from slot machines and table games was $2.8 billion, down 8 percent compared to the same period in 2011.

The weak economy, gambling competition from neighboring states and a weeklong casino shutdown caused by Hurricane Sandy have driven down Atlantic City's revenue in 2012. Revenue fell 20 percent in October and plunged a record 28 percent in November in Sandy's aftermath.

Including 2012, Atlantic City has suffered six straight years of revenue declines.
