Atlantic City police will gather Tuesday to mark the fourth anniversary of the death of Officer Kevin B. Wilkins, who was killed in 2010 when he accidentally shot himself while on duty.

The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at North Carolina Avenue and Baltic Avenue, an intersection since renamed Kevin B. Wilkins Way. The Atlantic City Police Honor Guard will be present. Chief Henry White will speak on behalf of the department.

Officer Wilkins was 31 years old when his death occurred while he was attempting to put a grip on his firearm. He had been a department member for two years at the time of his death.
