Gov. Chris Christie signed legislation Monday that would let Atlantic City's newer casinos open up beach bars in the Tourism District.
Atlantic County state Assemblyman Chris Brown, a sponsor of the legislation, said the law will help casinos such as Revel, offer sought-after amenities to customers.
“Beach bars have become a important draw for casinos to attract people who want to unwind and enjoy the surf and sand,” Brown, R-Atlantic, said.
The new law undoes an earlier restriction that prevented any new beach bars as of Aug. 31, 2011.
