BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP - Police are seeking a woman they said tried to rob a gas station on Sept. 8.

The would-be robber entered the convenience store at Buena Gas at about 8:17 p.m. and ordered the attendant to give her cash from the register, police said.

The attendant refused, even though the woman appeared to brandish an unknown weapon in her pocket.

The woman then fled northbound on Route 54, toward Hammonton, police said. She was driving a silver older model 4-door SUV with bright chrome rims and mounted larger tires.

She was described as about 5 feet, 5 inches tall with dirty blonde or brown hair and weighing about 200 pounds. She was last seen wearing short white shorts, a pink T-shirt and black flip-flops.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 609-561-7267.
