Cumberland County residents can apply for Disaster Supplemental Assistance Program aid to reimburse them for lost food during the Sandy storm.
The state program is eligible to residents who meet the income guidelines, resided in the disaster area at the time of the storm, and have disaster related expenses greater than $100 paid out during the benefit period, which is between Oct. 28 and Nov. 26.
The assistance is only available to residents who live in the following municipalities:08323, 08320, 08311, 08345, 08321, 08315, 08349, 08348, 08324, 08314, 08327, 08329 and 08316.
Applications will be taken at the following times:
Nov. 26, 27, and 28 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Maurice River Township Community Hall at 548 Main Street in Leesburg.
Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Fortescue Chapel at Downe and New Jersey avenues in Fortescue.
Dec. 3 between 8:30 a.m. and noon at the Greenwich Township Building located at 1000 Ye Greate Street in Greenwich.
Applicants will need to bring proof of identification, residency, income, bank statements, and receipts from disaster expenses.
