Cumberland County swimmer believed first to cross 13.1-mile Delaware Bay

Meghan Wren swims in the Delaware Bay in Fortescue as her son, Delbay Wren-Biggs, 8, and friend Tony Klock, 51, of Port Norris, paddle alongside in a kayak Saturday. Wren swam 13.1 miles across the Delaware Bay in just over eight hours. She is believed to be the first on record to do so.

Meghan E. Wren, of Money Island in Downe Township, swam from Delaware to New Jersey on Saturday. She is believed to be the first person to accomplish the feat.
