A vehicle fire on the eastbound Atlantic City Expressway, near mile marker 38.3, briefly interrupted traffic flow and resulted in one injury Monday.

A State Trooper noticed smoke while traveling on the highway and called in the single-car crash, police said. The accident was reported about 7:15 a.m. when the car, which was initially headed westbound, crashed into the guard rail and ended up in the eastbound lane.

Police issued five summonses to Oran Lev, 22, of Philadelphia for DWI, being an unlicensed driver, reckless driving, unsafe lane change and speeding.

The left lane of eastbound traffic was closed while the scene was cleared, police said.

Lev was flown to Cooper Medical Center in Camden for non-life threatening burns, police said.
