A Virginia woman was seriously injured in a collision with a tractor-trailer early Saturday in Galloway Township.
Police said the 2005 Hyundai was traveling west on the White Horse Pike at about 2:50 a.m. when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the Bremen Avenue intersection.
The Hyundai collided with a Sysco Food Services tractor-trailer making a left turn onto the pike from Bremen Avenue. Its driver, Kevin Martin, of Egg Harbor Township, and a passenger were uninjured.
The Hyundai driver, whose name was not released pending notification of family, was extricated from her vehicle. She was airlifted to AtlantiCare Medical Center, City Campus, for serious, life-threatening injuries.
Police shut down the White Horse Pike between Baltimore and Berlin avenues for three hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.
