Angelique Winstead, 44, was arrested early Sunday morning in Atlantic City and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. She was jailed on $50,000 bail.

ATLANTIC CITY - An Egg Harbor Township woman is jailed for allegedly stabbing a male in the stomach with a piece of glass early Sunday morning.

Detective Jeffrey Braash was on a call on the first block of North California Avenue at about 3:30 a.m., when he saw a man who had been stabbed on the corner at Atlantic Avenue, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said.

The victim, Hipilito Hernandez, had an altercation with woman and she stabbed him in the abdomen with a shard of glass, according to the report.

Angelique Winstead, 44, was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. She was jailed on $50,000 bail.

Hernandez, 43, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
