VINELAND — City police said they are searching for two armed men who robbed eight card-playing people at a local Moose lodge shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the eight men — ranging in age from 33 to 66 — were playing cards at the lodge in the 100 block of West Wheat Road when the suspects entered the building through an unlocked back door.

The suspects, two men armed with handguns and with bandanas covering their faces, ordered the victims to put their hands behind their backs, police said. The victims hands were then tied together, they said.

Police said the suspects emptied the victims’ pockets one by one, taking $8,000 in jewelry, eight cell phones, each worth around $300, and $6,000 in cash. The suspects then fled in a vehicle, they said.

None of the victims were injured. Police said they are investigating the incident.
