One of the eight Powerball tickets sold in New Jersey that is worth $1 million was sold at a gift shop at Bally's Atlantic City Casino Resort.

Caesar's Entertainment spokesman Jerry Eisenbach said the ticket was sold at the Picks and Wicks store, but the ticket holder has not yet come forward.

None of the tickets sold in New Jersey matched all numbers in the record Powerball jackpot of nearly $580 million, but more than 450,000 tickets are worth something. Eight of those tickets are worth $1 million and 29 are worth $10,000, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

One of the $10,000 tickets was sold at the Cedar Food Market in the 200 block of North Main Street in Pleasantville, lottery officials said.

Store manager Jan Habash said the winner came forward around noon Thursday to verify the ticket was a winner. Habash did not know the winner's identity but described him as a Pleasantville man in his mid-50s.

"He was real excited," Habash said. Store clerks took the man's information and were waiting for the store's owner to return in order to fully file the claim.

Habash said the store sold a $10,000 ticket for another lottery game last year.

Nearly 240,000 tickets sold in New Jersey matched the Powerball number and are worth $4.

Two tickets sold in Arizona and Missouri matched all six numbers to win the second-largest top prize in U.S. lottery history.

The numbers drawn Wednesday night are: 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 and Powerball of 6.
