WALL TOWNSHIP — NASCAR fans in New Jersey can start their engines and display new license plates of their favorite drivers.

The Motor Vehicle Commission unveiled 12 new plates at Wall Stadium racetrack in Wall Township on Wednesday.

One of the plates features New Jersey's own Martin Truex Jr. Truex, from the Mayetta section of Stafford Township, drove his first modified stock car at Wall Stadium.

Truex, 30, is in his fifth season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. He is 22nd in the season standings with five races remaining.

Truex's brother, Ryan, joined MVC chief administrator Raymond Martinez at the stadium. Ryan, 18, is a developmental driver for Michael Waltrip Racing, which also employs his brother.

Ryan won his second straight NASCAR K&N Pro Series East title this season and will race full-time next year in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the second-tier circuit in which his brother won back-to-back championships in 2004-05.

NASCAR license plates are available by mail for a one-time fee of $60. The plates can be personalized for an additional $50.

In addition to the Truex plate, fans can choose plates representing: Dale Earnhardt Hall of Fame Commemorative, NASCAR Fan, Mark Martin, Kasey Kahne, Tony Stewart, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
