A Sunday morning fire damaged several units at the Wheaton Apartments in Buena.
The fire was reported at 12:49 a.m.
Members of the American Red Cross Southern Shore Chapter assisted after the fire damaged multiple apartments. One family needed support fromt eh American Red Cross and that family, of one adult, four children (13,15,17and 19) and three pets, was provided with accommodations at a pet-friendly hotel, food, and clothes.
A fourth pet perished in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
