Four injured in Hamilton Township crash

Four people were injured Thursday in a crash in Hamilton Township, police said.

The crash took place at about 6:17 p.m., police said, when a Volkswagen driven by Deborah Oeser, 50, of Egg Harbor City, failed to yield to traffic when attemting to make a left onto Leipzig Avenue from Lombard Street and collided with a Hyundai driven by Amber Parker, 19, of Galloway Township.

Oeser and Parker suffered serious injuries and were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City Division by the Hamilton Township Rescue Squad, police said. Parker’s passengers Emily Renshaw, 19, of Galloway and Amanda Endicott, 20, of Absecon also suffered injuries and were hospitalized. The extent of the injuries was unknown.

Traffic on Leipzig was diverted for about one hour while the investigation was conducted.
