Galloway and Egg Harbor City police are warning residents about a man impersonating an Atlantic City Electric employee.

Police said the man approached two separate homes on Monday and asked for $45 to clean their meters.

The white male is described as about 5-feet seven or eight inches tall, with a vest and dark pick-up truck.

Police said residents should not allow anyone in their homes unless they have made a previous agreement with the utility.
