A Galloway Township man has been arrested on gun and drug charges following a two-month investigation.

Police said John F. Brown II, 30, was charged with unlawful possession of three firearms, including two rifles and a handgun reported stolen out of Ventnor; possession of 233 grams of marijuana; and distribution of marijuana and prescription narcotics, police said. He was also charged with possessing a firearm while committing a narcotics offense, police said.

Detective Bryan Casey and members of the Galloway police and Atlantic County SWAT team conducted a search on his home on the 400 block of Orange Tree Avenue in the Pinehurst section of Galloway Township on Friday.

Brown was transported to Atlantic County jail on $100,000 bail.
