A Galloway Township man was killed and his passenger injured in a crash Saturday night on the White Horse Pike in Absecon.

Police identified the man who died as Keith B. Mills, 28, of Galloway Township.

Absecon police responded to the single-vehicle crash, which occurred at 10:07 p.m., on the pike near Delilah Road. Police said the vehicle apparently struck the center barrier, overturned and came to rest on its roof.

Mills was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The other person, whose name has not yet been released, was treated and transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus.

The pike's eastbound lanes were closed for about seven hours as authorities investigated and cleared the scene. The accident remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Patrolman Christian Cavileer at the Absecon Police Department at 609-641-0667.
