A Galloway man was killed while walking along Route 30 in Absecon Monday night.
Absecon police said the 69-year-old township resident, whom they did not identify, was walking in the westbound lane near the Home Depot when he was struck by a 27-year-old driver from Egg Harbor City.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Absecon and Atlantic City Police Department closed the westbound lanes of the road for about 2 and a half hours during the investigation.
