GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP — Police are looking for a Brooklyn man who allegedly stabbed a woman found bleeding at the Travel Lodge on Route 30 on Saturday morning.

Police received a call at 9:20 a.m. and found a 22-year-old woman from Massachusetts with seven stab wounds to her neck, chest and back, police said.

She was taken to the Trauma Center at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, in Atlantic City.

After an investigation by Officers Kevin Jorgensen and Jacqueline Crocker, a warrant was issued for J.E. “Johnny” Lozano-Vulgarin, 24.

He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Police declined to comment on the relationship between the victim and suspect.

Witnesses reported that Lozano-Vulgarin fled the scene before police arrived, police said. He was reportedly driving a silver Ford Escape SUV with a New York registration.

Anyone who sees the vehicle or suspect is asked to call police immediately.

Anyone with further information may contact Detective Ryan Goehringer at (609) 652-3705, ext 320.
