GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - An armed 30-something woman stole more than 300 Oxycodone pills from the Smithville CVS Tuesday night, police said, the second prescription pill robbery there in recent weeks.
The robber was a white woman with a thin build, police said. She wore black jeans, white sneakers, a black hooded sweatshirt and a tan stocking over her face with holes cut out for her eyes.
She entered the Smithville CVS Pharmacy at 1 S. New York Road at around 8:45 p.m., police said, carrying a plastic bag and what appeared to be a handgun. Approaching the pharmacy, police said in a release “She demanded Oxy and Roxys from the pharmacist,” an apparent reference to the painkiller Oxycodone and Roxicodone, Oxycodone’s instant-release version.
She left with the pills, police said, no one was injured and the store was closed for the rest of the night. Police said surveillance video indicated she fled on foot towards the Smithville Historic Shops.
Police said it was the second incident in recent weeks where the robber stole prescription painkillers. On Dec. 29, police said what appeared to be the same woman robbed the pharmacy of 300 Percocet at around 5:10 p.m.
Police asked anyone with information contact the Galloway Police Department at 609-352-3705.
