There will be detours around construction on the Garden State Parkway in Middle Township next week, police announced Wednesday.

Starting April 1, the northbound lanes of the highway will be detoured to Route 9 from at Shellbay Avenue, Stone Harbor Boulevard and Crest Haven Road, the three signalized intersections being converted into overpasses.

The detours will run at night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Monday through Thursday.

Police said each intersection should take about one week to complete, and that once that work is finished the southbound lanes will be detoured along the same route.
