Officials from the state departments of environmental protection and community affairs, the New Jersey Business Action Center, Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Small Business Authority were to be at the municipal building from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. County officials said representatives from those agencies were to explain what resources are available to residents and businesses impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

Hurricane Sandy caused significant damage to communities along Delaware Bay here and in Maurice River, Commercial, Lawrence and Greenwich townships.

The storm destroyed homes, damaged protective dikes and washed out parts of some roads.
