Tomasello Winery will expand its Hammonton facility with a 2,095-square-foot wine-tasting and showroom area, after getting unanimous approval from the Planning Board.

"In addition, they're going to change the parking structure in front of the building to start bringing tour buses in there," said Planning Board Chairman Ed Marinelli. He said the expansion would also provide more room for the banquet facility, as a gathering area for cocktails before dinners are served in the main dining room.

The winery, at 225 N. White Horse Pike, has been in the town for 80 years, Marinelli said.

"To be there that long means you're doing something right," Marinelli said. "I think it's a step in the right direction."
