Heat advisory remains in effect today
The National Weather Service said temperatures will approach 95 degrees in parts of South Jersey today, as heat index value reach as high as 100.
A partly sunny day is expected to make way for rain showers and thunderstorms later in the after noon. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain..
The storms are expected to continue through the night, when the temperatures dip back down to around 70 degrees.
