Casinos are hoping for a June rebound in gambling revenue to give them momentum heading into the peak summer tourist season.

The gambling industry has struggled with revenue declines in each month so far this year, showing that the sluggish economy and competition from casinos in surrounding states continue to take a toll on Atlantic City.

Whether that trend continued in June will be revealed today. Revenue figures are scheduled to be released at 2 p.m. by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
