Light snow and rain likely today in region
Forecasters predict a chance of light snow in the area, with little chance of accumulation later in the day.
Western Atlantic County reported snow in the early afternoon.
National Weather Service meteorologist Mitchell Gaines said any chance of snow will turn into rain by tonight, due to a winter storm passing through the northern part of the state.
The weather in the morning should be mostly clear with chances of light precipitation, Gaines said.
