The Federal Emergency Management Agency's Disaster Recovery Center on Radio Road will remain open, Little Egg Harbor Township Mayor John Kehm said this morning.

The center was scheduled to close Thursday evening at 7 p.m.

Township Police Chief Richard Buzby asked a staff attorney from Gov. Chris. Christie's office to help keep the center open because of a need that still exists with storm victims in town.

Christie spokesman Kevin Roberts said Thursday that the governor's office was in contact with FEMA about leaving the center's doors open.
