Police arrested a 20-year-old in Little Egg Harbor Township after catching him in the act of a burglary Tuesday.
An emergency call was made to police about a burglary in progress on West Sail Drive, and police saw Joshua Aponte walking out of the residence when they arrived.
Aponte had a copper pipe and a hypodermic syringe, police said. He was arrested and charged with buglary, theft, criminal mischief, receiving stolen property and possession of a hypodermic syringe.
Aponte was taken to Ocean County jail and bail was set at $50,000.
