Natural gas service cut off by Hurricane Sandy could be restored to all of Long Beach Island by Dec. 1, according to a release from New Jersey Natural Gas.

The release said that work would start working north from Ship Bottom and then south to Holgate.

Harvey Cedars Police Chief Thomas Preiser also said that the Army Corps of Engineers is trying to bring in dredging equipment to assist with storm recovery in Surf City and Harvey Cedars.
