Shots were reported at 5:21 p.m. on the first block of North Virginia Avenue, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said. Police found a car shot up there. Windows were shattered, and rounds were lodged in the doors. Shell casings were also recovered in a parking lot, but no victim was found at the scene.

Shaheem Little, 23, of North Kentucky Avenue, walked into the hospital at 5:53 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the knee, McMenamin said. The injury is not considered life-threatening.

He was charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute and possession within 500 feet of a public park.

He was admitted to the hospital for the gunshot wound and is under arrest. His bail was set at $20,000.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Detective Bureau at 609-347-5766.
