Morey Organization plans $10 million hotel on former Rio Motel site in Wildwood

The Morey Organization is planning a $10 million hotel on the vacant lot at Ocean and Rio Grande avenues where the Rio Motel was demolished six years ago. The hotel will encompass the Starlux Motel, at left.

The Starlux once was the Wingate Motel, a four-story 1950s motel that has since been redesigned into a boutique hotel aimed at drawing visitors looking for modern features with 1950s style.
