The National Weather Service issued an urban and small stream flood advisory at 7:50 p.m. tonight for Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Ocean counties.
The service said enhanced rainfall is moving through the area.
Up to a half inch of rain has fallen through much of the South Jersey region between 7:20 and 7:50 p.m. and areas closer to the shore picked up close to an inch, the service said.
Another half inch is possible in the region, the service said.
A wind advisory is also in effect in the area with winds 20 to 30 mph and gusts up to 50 mph expected until 1 a.m. Thursday.
