Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City is preparing to launch a free 3-D light and sound show for the public every half hour beginning next weekend.

“Boardwalk Beat,” which hall officials describe as a “new family-friendly, nightly outdoor show” on the Boardwalk illustrates the eras and styles of many different kinds of music.

Moment Factory, of Montreal, will use projections, sound, theatrical lighting, architectural video-mapping technology and an original score to turn the hall’s facade into a giant jukebox that will remind viewers of special moments in music history.

The show will debut at 9 p.m. May 25 and run every half hour nightly on the Boardwalk.
