TRENTON - If you can't take the heat, get out of New Jersey.

Forecasters say high temperatures could top out in the mid 90s in parts of the Garden State Tuesday. The heat, combined with the humidity, could make it feel like 100 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service, the heat index in southern New Jersey should peak at 102 today.

Stray showers are not expected to bring much relief.

The National Weather Service says a weak cold front should move through the region on Wednesday. That should be followed by slightly cooler and less humid air.
