NORTH WILDWOOD - The city's Republican Committee will interview candidates this week as it looks ahead to this year's November elections.

Mayor Bill Henfey announced early this month that he would not seek re-election. City Council President Patrick Rosenello, who Henfey endorsed, has since said he plans to run for the mayor's job.

The Republican Organization plans to interview candidates starting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the city's recreation center.

The organization will then issue its endorsements for the offices of mayor, council at large, First Ward council and Second Ward council.

Rosenello has submitted a letter of interest for the mayor's post. Current council members Edwin Koehler, Peggy Bishop, and Salvatore Zampirri have also submitted letters seeking another term in office.

Anyone interested in interviewing for one of these positions can submit a letter of interest to the North Wildwood Republican Organization, P.O. Box 542, Wildwood, 08260. Letters of interest can also be emailed to: PRosenello@gmail.com.
