Peanut World reports second robbery in two weeks

ATLANTIC CITY - Police responded to Peanut World, located at 1645 Boardwalk, early Monday morning when a caller reported the front window smashed out and saw a suspect flee the area.

The suspect reportedly fled on foot northbound on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, carrying boxes of cigarettes, police said.

This is the second robbery reported recently at the business. Police arrested a suspect, Orlando Vasquez, 41, of Bridgeton for a March 22 robbery.

Police are still searching for the suspect in today's robbery. He is described as a 5-foot-six-inch man in his late 30s to early 40s with a heavy build. Police said he was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket with a navy blue and red sweater underneath.
