Police say a pedestrian has been struck and killed by a pickup truck in New Jersey.

State Police Sgt. Brian Polite tells the South Jersey Times that a man was walking along a road at about 8 p.m. Friday in Cumberland County when he was struck by a truck.

Polite says the driver stayed at the scene in Stow Creek Township until police arrived. He wasn't hurt.

The victim's name hasn't been released.

This is the second pedestrian death in the county in two days. A 54-year-old woman was run over by a New Jersey Transit bus in Bridgeton on Thursday.
