Bridgeton police said they used pepper spray to break up a large brawl outside a tequila bar on Sunday, but that didn’t stop two women from fighting.

Police were called to the Las Palmas Tequila Bar on Sunday morning for a report that about 40 people were in a small parking lot, where a group of women were fighting, according to police reports.

Police ordered the group to stop fighting “to no avail,” so officers discharged pepper spray, police said.

According to police, the pepper spray quelled the fight but for two women who continued fighting each other “and had to be physically pulled apart.”

Arrested were Shaquara A. Brown, 25, and Eternity Gross, 20, both of Bridgeton, on disorderly conduct charges, police said.

They were released on court summonses.
