SOMERS POINT - A woman and her dog were injured Saturday after a pitbull, which was running freely in the 500 block of Fifth Street, attacked both, police said.
A summons was issued to Marcus Langford, 23, of Somers Point, for allowing his pitbull to run at-large and for having an unlicensed dog, said police Chief Michael Boyd.
The victim was transported to Shore Medical Center where she was treated and released after being bitten. She was trying to protect her Yorkshire terrier, which was transported to Linwood Animal Hospital, police said.
