MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — Police arrested at 29-year-old resident after observing marijuana plants when attempting to serve a failure-to-appear warrant.

Cape May County sheriff's officers were attempting to serve the warrant to Gregory Hall, on South Boyd Street In Cape May Court House, on Aug. 16 when they saw marijuana plants outside the residence, according to a statement from the county Prosecutor's Office.

The officers were able to obtain a court-authorized search warrant and then seized 21 marijuana plants, under 50 grams of marijuana and about $2,401 cash.

Hall was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession with intent near a school zone and possession of under 50 grams.

He was taken to Cape May County jail and bail was set at $25,000 cash.
