Good Friday morning South Jersey! Here's what you need to know today.

For today's weather, there will be increasing cloud with temperatures between 32 and 35. Snow develops between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., mainly light, ending this evening. There is a winter weather advisory in effect from 1 p.m.  to 9 p.m. today.

The City Council approved an ordinance Wednesday night granting air rights over Morris Avenue so the casino hotel can build a bridge to the hotel at 111 S. Chelsea Ave., The Chelsea Tower at Tropicana Atlantic City.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who attempted to start a fire at police headquarters Tuesday night.

A donation in late October from the Macks, of Galloway Township, has allowed the endowed scholarship they established in 2012 at Atlantic Cape Community College to grow to about $75,000.

One person died in the fire that ripped though a Mattix Run complex this week, and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office reported Thursday it is investigating the incident.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” opened for evening screenings at several theaters in South Jersey. The Frank Theaters Towne Stadium 16 in Egg Harbor Township had six screenings of the new movie, including the 3-D version.

The high school girls basketball season begins Friday, and few teams carry the expectations that Mainland does.
