LOWER TOWNSHIP - Police arrested a man sought in connection with a stabbing reported early Friday morning in Rio Grande.

Bobby Wilson allegedly stabbed the victim, who lived with the him on Linden Lane, on Aug. 23 at about 8:30 a.m., and then fled when police arrived at the scene, said Capt. John Edwards.

The victim was stabbed twice in the abdomen and taken to Cape May Regional Medical Center, Edwards said. He has since been released.

Police received information and the whereabouts of Wilson on Aug. 25, and he was arrested and taken to Cape May County jail.

Wilson has been charged with aggravated assault and is being held on $25,000 cash bail.
