VINELAND — Police have been investigating the smashing of six vehicle windows and a glass patio door late Wednesday night through Thursday morning.

Six of the incidents involved the use of what police said were ornamental river rocks, while the other incident involved the use of a brick.

The incidents occurred in the 300 and 500 blocks of North East Avenue, the 800 block of Pear Street and the 1000 block of Hamilton Drive, police said. The incidents occurred from about 11 p.m. on Wednesday through 6:30 a.m. on Friday, they said.

A variety of vehicles, ranging from sedans to sport utility vehicles, was damaged, police said.

The patio door was broken by a river rock, police said. The residence showed no signs of being tampered with, they said.

In all, police set the damage estimate for all seven incidents at about $2,000.

No arrests had been made.
