An Atlantic City man was allegedly assaulted by an ex-girlfriend at his birthday party Monday night at TGI Fridays.

Just after 8 p.m. the Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to the TGI Fridays in the Harbor Square, in the Cardiff section of the township, over calls of a large fight.

Tyree Montague, 32, and his family were there to celebrate his birthday when they ran into a former girlfriend, Cammy Farmer, 35, of Hamilton Township.

Todd Waldie, a manager, said the fight occurred when one group was being seated and crossed a table with another group.

The two tables began arguing and eventually started fighting, both inside and outside the restaurant. During the fight Montague was allegedly assaulted by the accused, according to a police news release.

Farmer was taken into custody in the parking lot after a brief struggle with police.

Police said the fight involved about 20 people and no one was injured.

Police and K-9 officers from the township, Pleasantville and Northfield responded to the scene.

Farmer was charged with simple assault, violation of a temporary restraining order, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Superior Court Judge Kane set bail at $5,000. Farmer posted bail and was released from custody pending a court appearance.

After her release from custody Farmer signed a complaint against Montague for simple assault.

The charge was placed on a summons with a date to appear in court.
