A man who was possibly hit with a stun gun and then stabbed staggered into the Family Dollar store in Atlantic City on Sunday, police said.

The incident took place at about 5:30 p.m. on the 1330 block of Atlantic Avenue, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said.

McMenamin said that reports that the man was "tased" were still unconfirmed, but that the man was stabbed in the chest before walking into the store.

Three male suspects were seen leaving the scene, she said.

There was no information as the extent of the man’s injuries, McMenamin said, adding that he was still in surgery several hours later. The man’s name was not yet available.
